Our Brains - The Human Operating System.. Is it OUTDATED ?

Ever since I could remember, I was always fascinated with the human brain. Sounds kind of creepy but in a scientific way. Like how the brain operates, how the neurons spark and memories are created. Everything from the power of our subconscious to our frontal lobe. That stuff just always sparked my interest. As I have grown older and have seen various mental illnesses from family, friends, and seeing the effects of different drugs or stimulus from the world, understanding the brain has been even more interesting.

With the whole talk now of Ai and technology that allows us to see our thoughts and control things with our minds, it has me wondering. Is our brain, the human Operating system outdated or are we just not using it to its full potential?

I can remember using my pc when would release constant updates like ME, NT and finally XP. I could see the progression and how much it made life easier. Then came Vista but it hadn’t quite sold me on being better. XP was solid and did everything I needed it to. Life was perfect. Are our brains stuck on windows XP desperately needing an update or is this Ai phase another vista?

Outdates

Some believe that Artificial intelligence will help connect our brains to the internet, bringing Google, all the random videos from youtube and Steemit to our brains. We could be faster, smarter, more connected and updated. Imagine having the answer to a question instantly. Or being able to type a Steemit post with your thoughts. How Jetsons would that be? I mean that's the least they could do since we don’t technically have flying cars quite yet right? Don’t feel like texting, no worry send a message via thought or pull up someone’s Facebook profile before going on a date. Life seems so dull with this outdated thing we call a brain or is it?

Consider a couple of things; with our internet now if your bandwidth is too slow we get upset, if we are streaming too much our speeds get capped, there are malicious adware and malware and don’t forget out viruses. We are already dealing with those with enough of those like the flu. Don’t forget hackers and student loan collectors having access to our every thought. Scary right?

Maybe are just are not using it to our full potential

Yet another argument that has been going back an forth like when our flying cars will be here is that we only use 10% of the brain. Studies later have led some scientist to announce that we, in fact, use all of our brain. Who knows science is so back and forth what I do know is that there are proven facts that when people truly focus and visualize what they want they can create their reality. Sounds crazy but just follow me. Gold medalist athletes like Micheal Phelps have said that he visualizes the victory each time before a race. Steve Jobs had been documented taking LSD which opened his mind to different aspects of his life. Musicians like Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, and many others have all tapped into something special which made them creative genius. There is so much that we can learn about the brain, so much that we don’t know is even possible.

Thoughts

Should we tap into the internet of things and expand what we have now or should we take a step back and see what civilizations centuries before us already knew? Will Ai brain updates be the next OS update or are we heading down a slippery slope? The future only knows but one thing is for certain I may stick with my XP before upgrading to the new and improved cyborg state of mind. Would love to hear your thoughts.
