RE: Electrical Brain Stimulation

in #science7 years ago

The beauty of it, in theory, is that the electric current doesn’t rewire the brain on its own it just makes it easier for the brain to rewire itself. At this point it seems obvious that this is far too good to be true. So what’s the catch?

There's a catch. Do not trust corporations or governments.

@indepthstory I agree with you 100/100 but @joseph, like I just said in my comment what's the catch? that's the real question. or you get

The beauty is, in the 20th century electrocution of the brain was used as a form of treatment to many mental issues. Later that process was labeled extremely experimental, even criminal. It was founded more on flawed theory than scientific research. Now we are revisiting that from the scientific research side. The potential of using electric current to rewire the brain is amazing. I believe such process in the near future will help with a lot more than mental problems, and go to the physical part. We only tapped into less than 2% of the potential of our brain power. There is a lot to know.
