8.2 Magnitude Earthquake off the coast of Alaska. Tsunami warning! 1/23/2018
At approximately 1:32 am pacific standard time USGS measured a 8.2 magnitude earthquake which originated off shore in the Gulf of Alaska which is in the Pacific ocean just south of Alaska and west of British Columbia.
Tsunami warnings were issued to coastal cities and communities via blaring sirens. Well..... I live in a coastal city in British Columbia and I awoke in a panic from loud sirens.
The first damn thought in my head was : "God damn! Did North Korea target Canada ?! Is there an impending ICBM or is this an ICMB hoax like what happened in Hawaii"
But nope , it was a Tsunami warning ......
Well shit!!! This sounds bad! I thought of Japan and the devastation which their tsunami caused, thoughts of my own mortality crossed my mind: " If I die here and now, well sh!t , f%^K it!!!!"
The tsunami warning was shortly repealed.
The wave was 4 centimeters when it arrived off the coast of British Columbia....
