Open source projects like this give me a lot of hope. A few years back I took a major interest in EEG technology and the way the brain works. While looking around for decent equipment I found there is a frightening level of restriction on the technology we're aloud to have. Some companies won't sell to you unless you are working under certain universities or institutions that are completely keeping track of all the research their scientists are doing. You need permission to learn past a certain point. I get intelligence can be threatening but we can't combat that danger by restricting a person's ability to exorcise their mind freely and perform experiments. Luckily OpenSourceEEG exists and ordinary people now have a way to gain access to this technology and even build it themselves for under $50.

I got interested in it all when I read an article from some doctor who talked about how we can sense the blood flow in our brain. It was years ago and there's no way I could find it again. I started talking about this and discovered most people can't feel their brain aside from the tension point behind the eyes. As if the fear of and belief in an inert dead material world shitting out odd organic flukes in time has people thinking that energy doesn't exist, and we aren't anatomically equipped to feel it. A lot of people don't have bodily awareness and this ignorance is mental illness. People think its mystical bullshit to think with your heart or your gut, because when they try to do it themselves they conceive of their body in their mind and what it should or would feel like. Instead of simply being the body, they remain trapped in their heads with no way out but to telescope ever deeper into their own reality, as if the solution is in the mind. Is it?

The heart possesses a bundle of over 40,000 neurons. It communicates with the brain as much as the brain communicates with it. What's amazing about the heart is the power of it's electromagnetic field. The brain's activity can be detected through reading it's waves, but the brain's electromagnetic field is much smaller than that of the heart, which is large enough to surround the entire body with arms and legs extended. This means there is an energy or awareness of the heart that lacks the complexity of the brain, but makes up for it by being far more powerful. But it makes sense doesn't it? The heart centered emotions are the most needed to maintain a community. A more single minded intention surrounding the concepts of love and gratitude, acceptance, etc...

I wanted a nice EEG machine so I could show people the correlation between their psychic experience and their own anatomy. So I could have a visual aid that would provide me with a means for helping others learn the skill of personal mind control. The ultimate brain hack that would allow you to access any mode of being in your makeup to rewire your circuitry based on the more mature and complex perspective of life you've formed in adulthood. I quickly learned the EEG machine was unnecessary for my own purposes because I'm my own EEG, man. When you see the results gained from ten minutes of meditation the EEG "brain hack" seems a little useless. Not everyone is interested in yoga. You'd for sure get some of the sciency crowd.

Maybe one day I'll be financially equipped to create a system for people to learn this. There are sometimes when we must let go and become nothing to expand. Let our thoughts become light and intricate like a spider web and watch them happen as they do instead of contriving simple and heavy duties all the time like that kid who always destroys the spider web. When an area of the brain becomes more active blood rushes into it and you can feel this. You get the same problem here that people have with bodily awareness. There is a part of the brain that watches, deliberates, ruminates, sees, and sees over what it's already seeing. The analytical part of the brain will often override the natural activity happening when a person experiences the knowledge that a distinct part of their brain is active. They feel it and begin to draw correlations. This activates a portion of the brain where a person habitually begins to conceptualize again what they "might" "would" or "should" be experiencing based on their formulated hypothesis from the beginning of the experiment. You almost need to go in ass-backwards with procedural markers and signs to direct you, and no desired outcome in mind. Your thoughts are a kind of electric chemistry. They aren't just words and symbols they are the inexplicable powers these words and symbols embody. So you don't think "I'm doing this, I'm doing this, I'm doing this, etc..." to pound it into yourself. Instead, the beginning idea is the trigger to an expansive reaction and impression that is a vehicle to another perspective. You have to stay out of the way when the ball gets rolling and it becomes a sort of internal movement of your energy rather than a symbolic thought. If you pay attention to this you'll notice your mind stopping itself from "flying off the rails" so to speak. Continually trying to maintain a consistent stream of consciousness as if one is attempting to construct a psychic pillar to heaven to find the answer. The only solution is to continue to practice, and to teach yourself to hold impressions so you can improve your ability to move into different states of consciousness.

The Nature of Light and What it Means For The Self

Studying light and the qualities of resonance in chemistry is an eye opening experience. On a chemical level all changes and shifts are governed by the absorption or depletion of a photon of a certain wavelength or color. This means light is the currency and the resource that is converted to everything else. Everything is light! This gets even weirder though. Yes everything is light, and light is perfect. You feel light in your whole body. The patterns of light that we are don't seem perfect, but they are imperfect patterns made of a perfect building material(immaterial?). But even more strangely, energy isn't what we have grown to believe it is. We see it as something that can run out, as something we don't have enough of. But when you see that quantum entanglement is possible and particles can gain energy through resonance in a vacuum without depleting the energy of the other particle then something just doesn't click. Who was it who said there is enough energy in a single cubic inch of space to boil and evaporate all the world's oceans? I think if mankind reaches its evolutionary peak, the physical world will be nothing more than a computer program or game of life where you play in “sandbox” mode and can basically do whatever you want. It's impossible to say what we'd be experiencing at that level. We feel energy is spent, but it only changes. Patterns we only see one half of because the other is inscrutable to normal human awareness. We know of only a certain kind of energy dynamic and exchange. Cause and effect, this becomes that, but it seems there is another way of interacting with energy in which the ordinary laws of conservation and cause and effect we've grown to perceive in the world don't come into play. We have been gifted this crude paradigm of reality through millions of years of toiling through the evolutionary swarm that is the earth. And we've also taken this a step further through the development of culture. But that doesn't mean the reality we experience is the reality. It's an operating system we've developed, not you, but every creature to ever exist and shoot out the sperm that eventually became you and I. You are in a simulation but it's your simulation. That doesn't mean you can simply fly and run through walls like Neo, the riddle is harder than that, it just means the senses we've developed are but one of nature's infinite solutions to the problem of navigation. This reality is what we evolved and inherited from our ancestors and our environment. In a very real sense we are the culmination of the efforts of all the beings in our ancestry.
