Why do we forget the dreams?

in #science8 years ago

Most people say they do not dream. Most often this occurs because people simply forget to sleep after a few seconds after wake up. Why is this happening to us?

Some scientists believe that in our body everything is thought out to the smallest detail, and if we forget our dreams, it means that our body requires it and for it there are certain reasons. Here are the most common ones:

The human brain, many dreams are perceived as unnecessary information. The flow of information that our brain processes, continuous and does not stop for a second. And if the human brain to memorize and analyze all the dreams with the real events, it could lead to the interweaving of the real and false memories, and as a consequence of a malfunction. Therefore experience of dreams eliminated as unnecessary.

Lack of attention to their own experiences, or more banal forgetfulness.

The reason for the forgetting of dreams can be so-called mechanism of "recognition of Dreams", which nature has endowed us. This is done in order to marginalize, if not erase, the dreams that their content can harm our mental health (eg, nightmares).

It is believed that during sleep the person is not able to control himself, because his mind is far away from the body. Therefore, remember the dreams we can not. Only in waking moment there is an opportunity to recall at least some tiny fragments of a dream, but in this moment, and then all the memories are erased.

These are just a few theories about the reasons why we forget most dreams, but they have a right to exist.

Sort:

people do have dreams, but they get distracted too easy.
They want a million dollar but they go astray for a penny.

very often we take as a dream that is not feasible. and even more so the dream has nothing to do with reality.
