Anıtkabir... It is the Memorial Tomb of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The Greatest Turkish Leader of All Times.

He was the leader of the Turkish War of Independence. Founder of the Republic of Turkey...

All photos and blog belongs to me, I encourage you to do the same :)

Let's talk about what you will find in Anıtkabir;
-Anıtkabir Soldiers.
-What to see?
-What to buy?
-Where to go?
-Elon Musk
-Why Elon loves Atatürk

Let's start shall we...

Soldiers

You need to see them yourselves... They are amazing.
-Their height should be at least 1.80
-They are on guard duty for 2 hours. It is most likely for you to see them hand over the watch. The ceremony is marvelous.
-There are 6 points for watchkeeping there. Sure, you will see all of them.
-They are taking serious of tests and trainings for 4 weeks and then they start to choose which soldiers are capable of doing that hard duty.

What To See

The Lions Road
The road with lions... There is a little trick. The bricks on the road are separated so; that you can not help but to look down. You must look to be able to walk without falling. So you are entering the Anıtkabir your head down. Respectfully.
Good idea!..

The Anıtkabir Museum

In the museum of Anıtkabir,
-Atatürk's personal items
-Atatürk's medals
-Swords
-Cars
-Decorations, some personal items
-Atatürk's wardrobe
-His library
-And some many other items are shown.

But his wax sculpture is always watching...

What Did Musk Said

He said that he loved this words from Mustafa Kemal; “If one day, my words are against science, choose science.”-Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

Elon said that one day he was reading an encyclopedia and came to the page of ''M''. He saw Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the more he read the more he began to admire the Atatürk. His scientific ways and foresight...
I will give the links of his posts so you can see better what he said.

But let me explain it a little;

Atatürk embraced the scientific reasoning. Which is;
1-Identify that problem
2-Propose a good assumption (hypothesis)
3-Test the corollaries of this assumption by observations
4-Abandon the assumption if it is not consistent with observations
5-Propose a new assumption consistent with the new knowledge acquired from observations
6-Test the corollaries of the new assumption by observations
7-Repeat 4.

Anyone who loves science, has a reason to respect Ataturk and admire his work. That is why Elon, a.k.a. the tesla guy, loved him.

Also, there is a Nobel price. Did you knew that?
2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry is here.
Aziz Sancar, who won the Nobel Prize, donated that to Ataturk’s mausoleum Anitkabir saying that: "The real owner of this prize is Ataturk. If he was not there, the schools that educated and inspired me would not exist and I would have never earned this prize."

Let's see more photos that I took there

I loved that how cold it is and they are not moving at all...

From now on, my camera was dead so I continued with my phone

Great ceremony...

I beleive I will be there again. I will be there when I read more, learn more and share more. I would love to see you there too. Maybe one day, who knows...

Thank you for this work. This words is very important. Because Atatürk is one of world history’s most great people. 😀😀

Thank you so much :D

What a fascinating place! Your photos are great. I like the idea of putting gaps in the road so that people approach with heads bowed. Clever!

Yes! That is so well thought out, carefully considered and planned. :)
