The Secret power of Sound. And Tamil Langauge

in #science7 years ago

The one thing we all have in common is music. Music is the universal language bridging all tradition and cultures. There is a special connection we humans have with sounds put in certain rhythmic patten. We instinctively understand the vibration of all things and we get intuned with it.

Words and sound have been evolving for a long time. Its really fascinating that we have 60,000+ new words in English from the time of Shakespeare and everyday there are more and more words created, Like the word “Truthiness” made up by Steven Colbert!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Judeo-Christian says God created the world with words. If you translate that to today’s language it will be more like. Into the Vast voids came a sound and matter took shape!
I am in the attempt to find out what the word of God must have sounded like and explore the power of sound from a biblical perspective.

The power of sound has always been the key element in all the religion. In Christianity we had some prayers and Hymns which was passed down by John the Baptist called Solfeggio Vibrations or the Great Hymn. When sung in a proper way it is believed to heal people and give tremendous spiritual awakening. Gnostic Bible and Gospel of Thomas have references leading to the Great Hymn. Unfortunately the church lost the Hymns!

In Islam the formation of the sound plays a key role when you read the Quran. Muslims all over the world emphasize to recite the Quran in Arabic even though people don’t understand the meaning. The wavelength in which the Quran is recited creates a Harmony in the person who listens to it (provided if you are receptive) This is one of the reason why the mosque broadcasts the reciting of Quran!

In the East almost all religions has sound and music as the centrifugal aspect! There is always music in Rituals,Festivals and Ceremony. Rig Veda, Buddhist Sutras and the Adhi Dravidian Tamil chants are full of Cymatics vibration of sound.
India is one unique country when it comes to Eastern spirituality. All major Eastern religions sprung out of this mysterious country. And India still has unbroken continuity with its Ancient past.

The sound of OM really fascinated me for a long time. Specially the Tamil Language OM written as ஓம்.
Tamil language has many scientific facts hidden in its words. We are all aware of the Big Bang theory and how the universe was created from a explosion of sound. I was very surprised to find this fact in Tamil language. The concept of Big bang is represented by the Word OM ஓம் In Tamil.

OM ॐ is not just a religious symbol as most people think.
It represents the creation of the cosmos. An ongoing vibration of this expanding universe, which gives shape and form!
Indians believe OM is the fabric, which holds the existence together! The Upanishad calls it “Sound of silence” from which everything resonated. So when we chant OM, our mind gets intuned with the same frequency as the existence itself. Hence you have no feeling of separation. Your Ego is no more. You see everything within you and time and distance no longer exist!
The modern science says the creation happened from a explosion and the sound resonated into higher frequencies as it manifested to light and eventual to matter (matter is also sound vibrating in a higher frequency)

I was surprised to see this fact Embedded in Tamil language!
We have same word with slightly higher accent for OM, One, Sound, and Light
This is how its written in Tamil
ஓம் = OM
ஒரு = One
ஒலி = Sound
ஒளி = Light

When the word OM increases from a lower accent (frequency) to a higher accent (frequency) the meaning of the word changer from OM to ONE to SOUND and LIGHT!
This is true even in our modern science. As the frequency of vibration changes from a lower scale to higher scale, things manifest from sound to heat to light.
I was very fascinated to see this scientific fact embedded in Tamil language thousands of years ago!

Every vibration has a sound, every sound has an image. Every image has a story, every story has a moral and all morals lead to light!
