Having Witnessed a Sunrise in Guilin, I Shall Never Return -
For it was simply too sublime!
A solitary sunrise viewed from Xiangong Mountain 🌅 will suffice to validate one's journey to Guilin, negating any need for further visits.
I have genuinely beheld a real-life landscape painting! 🏞
Having considered the scenery at Xingping Ancient Town and the Yulong River to be exquisite enough, I found myself humbled upon witnessing the sunrise at Xiangong Mountain, realizing that:
I had no intention to seek out landscapes, yet these thousand miles of vistas have seeped into my very soul!
From the climb to the summit before daybreak, beneath a canopy of stars 🌌, to the witnessing of the ethereal cloud sea ☁️, seemingly conjured from nothingness,
standing above the clouds, beholding the endless stretch of Guilin’s landscape~
Guilin has truly allowed me to experience a realm of earthly paradise!
📷 Tips:
1️⃣ Do not be misled into thinking that the panoramic views necessitate a prolonged arduous climb; Xiangong Mountain is not a difficult ascent! One can reach the summit in a mere ten minutes or so ~ (as the drive to the foot of the trail already takes one to a considerable altitude; the actual height to be climbed is relatively modest).
2️⃣ The spring and summer months, with their abundant rainfall, are most suitable for appreciating the landscapes of Guilin, whereas the autumn and winter are the dry season for the Li River, resulting in a less picturesque scene!
3️⃣ Be sure to ascertain the daily sunrise time! Although Xiangong Mountain’s summit offers five or six observation platforms, one must still rise early to secure a vantage point with the best view! (The opening time of the scenic area is also adjusted according to the sunrise; you may inquire beforehand; generally 5:30 AM in summer, and 6:00 AM in winter).
4️⃣ I shall impart a method which practically guarantees a view of the cloud sea! Opt for days when clear skies immediately follow a heavy rainfall! One is almost certain to witness the cloud sea – which will likely grace several consecutive sunrises!
