STEEMCHURCH - VENEZUELA: ALONE WITH GOD
Prayer is the means by which we approach the presence of God and can have fellowship with Him. The Bible commands us on many occasions to pray. We are told that prayer must be part of the Christian's life. God wants his children to seek him in prayer. Men like Job, Elijah, David, Daniel prayed alone. They spent time alone with God in prayer. Women like Ana, Samuel's mother. These examples should not be overlooked or ignored. They are examples of great importance, those that should be taken as a pattern in our lives, but the most important thing is not only the example of these men and women of God but the fact that Christ commanded us to "pray alone."
Jesus said: "But you, when you pray, enter your room, and close the door, or your Father who is in secret; "(Matthew 6: 6)
These words of Jesus, more than a simple recommendation or advice, are an important commandment. Sometimes we are very willing to pray in groups in a public and congregational way, we have no problems in praying together with another Christian who asks us for such a thing, but prayer alone is very difficult for us. Why will it be? I believe that the prayer alone is the most important of all the prayers that a Christian can do. The moments alone with God have a great impact on the life of the believer.
There are certain benefits of speaking with our Father. I will show you three of them below
Humility: Prayer alone is an indication of humility. When we pray alone, only God can see us, no one can see or hear what we ask.
Commitment: When we pray alone, this lets us see the level of commitment we have with God. Only those who are committed to God pray alone. Those who are committed to God, not only pray "alone" in times of need and in difficult moments of life but they have a communion with God always. Even when things are going well. If God is sought in prayer only when things go wrong, this tells us that there is no true commitment to God.
Privacy: Prayer can be a public act but even more than public it should be a private act. When we pray alone we can open our hearts to God and pour our soul before Him without fear that someone is listening to what we say. When a child of God seeks him in the secret of solitude, the Devil himself can not intervene in his prayer.
The more we talk to God, the easier it will be to understand what happens in our lives, and if you still do not have a habit of constant communication with Him, it is a good day for you to begin, and thus let our Father be the Mentor of your life.
Amen, thank you for your words and good message @iso8, without a doubt as good Christians we must be converted to Jesus and that is done through the search and commitment to the kingdom.
What a beautiful detail ... a dear hug from me to you. I love her so much
