Laugh at the salt farmers
Because of the favorable weather, this year, the Cox's Bazar coast is going to set up production record production surplus salt beyond the production target and the farmers of Banskhali upazila of Chittagong. It also hopes that there will be huge amount of salt reserves to meet the demand in the country's consumer and industrial sector.
Salt farmers said that the farmers have already been able to produce salt near the target. There is a possibility to produce more salt for at least 15 more days. If there is a similar salt during this time, then there will be assured surplus.
According to the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industry (BSCIC), there are 16 lakh 65 thousand metric tons of demand for salt in the country and the industrial sector this season. On the contrary, the production of salt in the country's salt production area is 64 thousand 147 acres, which is 18 lakh metric tons. But now the weather is favorable as it should be present.
The leaders of the salt-raising association said that while the salt has a good price at the beginning of the production season, the farmers of the field are now complaining of the reduction in the cost of salt production in each school.
Their complaints, due to the favorable weather, salt production is increasing day by day. But the country's largest mill owners syndicate the wrong information and started importing salt from abroad. If the syndicates get the chance to import salt from abroad by presenting the wrong information, the farmers will face major losses.

If the rest of the time is still there will be surplus if salt production is done well. '
Chakaria salt cultivation Shahidul Islam said, "At least 600,000 people are directly and indirectly engaged in the salt industry of the country. Although they create records in the production of salt in the country, some mills started trying to import salt from abroad by presenting the wrong information to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the government. If such a shooter is done this time, marginal farmers will be beaten financially. Therefore, the salt cultivation calls on the government concerned to refrain from allowing salt import from abroad.
