SLC25-W4 | "Chickpea Salad"
How are you all steemians? I hope you all steemians will be safe and sound by the grace of Allah Almighty and I'm fine too Alhamdulillah.
Ingredients | Quantities |

Chickpea | 120 grams |
Tomato | half |
Onion | half |
Cucumber | 1 |
Black Peppar | two to three pinches |
Vinegar | half teaspoon |
Salt | according to taste |
Bell pepper | 1/4 cup |
Olive oil | two tablespoons |
Preparation
First of all I washed all the ingredients tomato, cucumber, and the peel off onion.After washing them I have chopped them into small pieces as shown in the picture.

Then I add all the chopped ingredients into the small bowl and then I have added salt, salt black pepper and the vinegar into the mixture as shown in the picture above.
Then I have added the olive oil into my chickpea salad.
Then I mixed all the ingredients which I have mentioned above and I have added the olive oil and honey was optional which I have not added in the salad. And this is the picture of the salad with my username.
No, I've never tried this salad This is a good combination of the vegetables and these ingredients. The taste was good and I enjoyed it. I will try it for my lunchtime and it was really very tasty.
Chickpea 🧆
The chickpeas are considered the powerhouse of the nutritional benefits. They are the best source of the protein which are plant based and it is better option for those who are vegetarians. They have a rich content of the fibres which are helpful to regulate the process of the digestion and also beneficial to regulate the levels of the blood sugar.
The essential vitamins and minerals are present such as folate , phosphate and iron in the chickpeas. The folate is very important for the growth of the cells and development.
Cucumber 🥒
The cucumbers are very hydrating because they have a rich content of water in them.They have low calories and also have essential minerals and vitamins in them like C and K vitamins and also potassium which is a mineral. The vitamin K plays an important role in the clotting of the blood. Potassium has a big role in the regulation of the blood pressure.
Bell pepper 🌶️ 🫑
Bell pepper are the good source of the vitamin C, the content of the vitamin C is present in it more than any citrus fruits. There is also a rich content of antioxidants such as carotenoids and they are helpful to decrease the chances of chronic diseases. The presence of the vitamin A in it , helpful for the healthy visions because without vitamin A a person would suffer from severe vision issues.
Onion 🧅
The onions are known because of their a lot of health benefits. The antioxidants present in the onion have anti cancer and anti inflammatory characteristics. They are helpful to decrease the levels of the cholesterol in the blood.They are also benifical to provide good gut health.

If you are using the canned or the cooked chickpeas they are must be of good quality and if you are using canned, must rinse off them.
The use of the fresh vegetables is important to make sure the fresh taste.
The cutting and presentation is also very important before serving.
