Question 2: Did you prepare the recipe taught in the course or improvise one of your own? Tell us about the flavor of your salad? Did it meet your expectations?
Yes, I prepared the recipe that was taught in this class although, few of the ingredients used by the teacher are missing in mine. I made used of the available ingredients and also followed the recipe in this course.
The flavor of this salad was perfect, sweet corn added a special flavor and taste to it. Of course, after having a taste of this salad, it met my expectations.
Caesar salad full of healthy ingredients!
Question 3: Highlight the benefits of lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese for our body and indicate the price in Steem for each of them.
Lettuce | Croutons | Parmesan Cheese |
---|---|---|
Good for hydration and digestion because of high water content | It gives salads nice flavor | Good for immune system |
Good for weight management | Good source of energy | Good for muscle building and repair |
Good for bone health | It controls blood sugar | it promote healthy gut bugs |
Below are the prices for the least quantity;
Ingredients | Price in Naira | Price in Steem |
---|---|---|
Lettuce | #200 | 1.1 steem |
Croutons | #550 | 2.9 steem |
Parmesan Cheese | #1,200 | 6.4 steem |
Question 4: Do you have any special tips for making this salad? Share them.
The following are the special tips I have to share for this salad;
- Do not use the lettuce leaves that contain water because it will dilute the dressing thereby making it watering.
- In the process of making croutons with bread, tend not to overload them in pan
- Making use of homemade natural sweet corn is more healthier and it gives the salad good flavor.
- While slice the lettuce and bread for croutons, make it moderate and not too big or small so to have a crunch/ crispy taste.
I will invite @mvchacin, @eliany and @suboohi to join the class.
