Russia World Cup 2018, a brief note

I liked Russia World Cup as the winner was a team who honoured football, and that for a long time I’ve felt particular affection, Les Bleus. It’s true I was expecting the Red Devils could handle the cup, with some friends we commented that, Belgium France was the final in advance, anyone who won would be the champion.

I suffered with Colombia, with some good players and young blood. Peru deserved a better luck, Uruguay played very well. Brazil too, but if someone could beat them, that would be the Belgians.

Called small teams, did a worthy job, almost all of them: Iran, Japan, Tunisia, South Corea (beating Germany). Spain was disappointing, more that it has very good players. On the contrary, I wasn’t expecting Russia to go forward for a while. Croatia was heroic.

A touch of luck you missed Belgium to be champion. France was armoured. Croatia had some fortune but it didn’t fall short of class to play final.

Hazard was the best, and besides him, Griezmann. Modric, certainly could be the best third player.
