Well done on your running project, you should try the park runs every Saturday. I attend every week and watch my wife run these. I have a back condition so cant partake.
Yes, a friend from my knitting group has invited me to join her on the parkrun at Victoria Park. I'd like to try it later in the year, it could be fun. Although I do like the solitude of running on my own and just getting into the now.
