Keep up the good work! It's never too late to start running regularly.
I was a pack a day smoker for 14 years, finally managed to quit at age 29 (had been running a little before I quit) and picked up running marathons and shorter races after I turned 30. Running and Yoga changed my life for the better. Looks like you're on the right track as well!
