The biggest little adventure into space

This L3 project was inspired in the '60s when I got a GI Joe Mercury Capsule for my birthday. I always imagined it flying (even orbiting) and that kept me out of my parent's hair for days on end. Fast-forward to now - high power rocketry offered me the ability to experience a little of that childhood fantasy and so the Mercury Joe project was born.

Since 2003, Mercury Joe has been a regular at AeroPAC's XPRS launch - offering up a variety of astronauts (even Jesus!), drag races with Nibbles the cat and a simulated lunar landing on the playa.
