It has been a few days since the Easter Mission ended. I started completing those "Future Easter" Missions very close to the deadline. Yet I managed to score some good Rewards in the form of Special Cards with limited supply. The best part is that unlike many NFT projects out there in cryptosphere, these Cards have real gameplay utility. These are not mere JPEG files registered on a blockchain.

How It Started With S99 Robo Bunny

As I stated earlier, I joined the Easter Mission during the late phases of it. At the time, market price of S99 Robo Bunny had fallen dramatically to the point it was worth only as much as a Booster Pack. If you are semi familiar with the game, you may not know the change in pricing that happened a while ago. New players are unaffected by the change. They could be thought of as getting a 50% discount. Unfortunately I joined the game only a short time after its launch.

Current Prices via Hive NFTs

This new NFT market brings many conveniences to players along with a better looking UI. @risingstargame is only one of the three games that are being supported at the moment. We may see more games being integrated as time progress. HIVE is starting to have its own OpenSea at a smaller scale. Now the creators of games don't have to exclusively rely on the effectiveness and UX of their own NFT market.

There has only been an 11.16% drop in the price for this Seasonal Card since few weeks ago. This is fairly good performance considering that S99 Robo Bunny cannot be used to create any new Instrument Cards anymore.

Instruments I Earned

The UI for Hive NFTs is optimized for filtering and trading Cards. It does not present the designs themselves in the best way. The artwork takes a back seat to allow for efficient management of player's NFT portfolio.

This was a Seasonal Mission I took very slowly and casually. That is why I only have 3 Instruments to show. I spent 200,000 STARBITS to purchase 10 Packs and the first one had the S99 Robo Bunny. There are 4 candidates for the acquisition price of S99 Robo Bunny.

1. 200,000 STARBITS (Because I bought 10 Booster Packs to get one)
2. 200,000 STARBITS - Value of other 29 Cards
3. 20,000 STARBITS (Because it was the market price at the time)
4. 0 STARBITS (Because I didn't directly buy it)

Current Value of Instruments

These instruments increase Luck of player allowing them to earn more Skill from Music Lesson. That is the main utility I have from these Cards. There is of course the ability to "own" these Cards the same way one would own a painting (or a Tulip). I am not a big fan of NFTs that merely function as digital paintings. I have bought some cheap ones in the past. They are not investments. It is more of a novelty product that does support artists.

Why Future Easter Was A Personal Success

This is one of my lowest effort Seasonal Missions I have participated in. Despite that I am at a profit no matter how you look at it. The worst way to look at the investment is to say that I spent 200,000 STARBITS to get started. This ignores the fact that I have 30 Cards that I can sell to recoup a significant portion of that 200,000 STARBITS.

• Total Instrument Value = 949,997 STARBITS

This brings me to a minimum profit of 749,997 STARBITS withe very little involvement with the game. I must have spent more time writing this article than I spent on Future Easter related gameplay. @risingstargame is very much an evolution of an idle game into something better.

HIVE is Approaching Its Good Times

We seems to be in the season of Altcoins. $HIVE has performed well against $BTC over the previous week. On the other hand, $ETH performed even better. The biggest buyers have been institutions and businesses. The euphoria and retail madness along with its irrationality has not reached the market. The unfortunate truth is that most users come to HIVE and it games because of the prices. What is good for prices could easily lead to more users on the blockchain. What we can do is to get the best out of this momentum to onboard more freedom loving long term individuals to the community.
