The album Some Girls was first released by the legendary band, The Rolling Stones, in 1978 and was re-released on CD for the first time in 1986 and later in 1994 re-released with previous experience remastered. In the past 2009, this album again remastered and also re-realase. As if not enough, in 2011 the album was later thrown back into the market in quite different versions, as it comes in a double chip in addition to featuring original material, also inserted a lot of B-sides songs and songs that were not released the first circa album this is outstanding.

Of course Some Girls are not the only album of The Rolling Stones (we call The Stones anymore) which undergo a re-release process, but there must be a reason why this album is important to always be presented in order to provide updates to different generations. As we all know, this English supergroup, with its charismatic vocalist, Mick Jagger, has been present in the music industry for nearly five decades. With a long span of time like this, of course the music presented by The Stones is not always able to embrace the share of younger listeners, so it is not wrong if later the label felt the need to redrill the albums of this collection periodically to remain accessible freely, either by loyal fans or young listeners who are curious about the typical music of The Rolling Stones that has made them popular.

Some Girls consists of 10 songs featuring The Stones in various types of songs, ranging from soul, blues, country, and of course rock. In a release amid the crisis of existence they are facing. Their careers have been running for over twenty years. Stagnant may be descending. And the presence of new bands and the increasingly endemic punk-rock stream threatens to marginalize The Stones from music maps. Fortunately The Stones is not a band at random. They are a collection of champions who are full of experience and have a high flying hours. Not surprisingly, when Some Girls releases, a very positive reception is echoed everywhere and makes this album as their best selling album and even claimed to be their last best album to date.

There are four singles released for this album, Miss You which is thick with disco-funk scent, Beast of Burden is very soulful, the spirit of rock n roll in Repectable and not reluctant to catch the spirit of punk that is endemic in Shattered. But Some Girls are not only these singles, but are also filled with a lot of powerful songs that are so fun to watch. Check out the rock numbers, whether the tempo is maupoun toned meet the album and do not forget Far Away Eyes in a thick tone country. What is special is the remastering process is special, because this time we can listen to the songs contained in Some Girls with flashy quality and sound so clear that the articulation of each song can be listened to perfectly, without having to eliminate the impression of vintage that became cirikhas album released more than 30 years ago this.

What about the songs contained in the second chip? Do not worry, because they get the same treatment, so we who may be less familiar with the 12 songs contained here can listen to it well. Although these songs include tracks that were not released, but some had circulated among fans through the bootleg albums, so it may not all seem alien to the hearing. Yet the choice of songs contained in the second chip was quite able to answer the quality contained in the first chip, in the sense of having a composition that is not less classy and interesting. Even here The Stones are present in a concept that tends to be close to their roots, rock n roll, although of course country, blues and soul are still an extensive hatchery. It's special.

Some Girls is one of Rolliing Stones's classic albums. And with the presence of this album which is inserted by a collection of previously unpublished songs add rich material. With the growing number of new album releases from The Rollling Stones (the last being The Bigger Bang in 2005), it's clear that the choice to collect their old re-polished albums is the right choice. Uniquely, despite the re-polish, we should not be afraid if this album will experience a setback from the nostalgic side because the process of remastering did not betray the original form, even thickening the impression. With this album we can also witness how incredible the musical power possessed by The Rolling Stones and prove if they can produce timeless albums and can be appreciated in any decade. Classic!
