Electric 2in1 Skate Longboard
Electric 2in1 Skate Longboard
In recent 3-4 years, Korea has been booming in electric scooters, and in North America, electric skateboards (mostly longboard).
It's true that there's a lot of confusion about safety equipment, regulations, and laws on electric vehicles.
But as battery technology, brushless motor technology, wireless (Bluetooth, etc.) evolve, I personally think that this expansion of personal mobility is in keeping with the times.
Safety is the first priority, so I always ride my gear after riding it.
Knee pads, elbow pads, board gloves, full face helmets (such as snowboard helmets and bike helmets)
In North America, the California-based Boosted board brand is the most popular, but the brand I'm going to use today is the fourth generation of the most recent Evolve board (released about two months ago) based in Australia's Gold Coast. 2in1 electric longboard
The full name of the product to be opened today is Evolve Bamboo GTR 2IN1.
Evolve has traditionally released two types of Deck from the second generation to the present.
Carbon deck and Bamboo deck.
If you've been riding the Evolve 3rd Generation Carbon and Bamboo boards before and have a personal feeling,
Is Carbon a bit stiff? It is. When you run, the feeling of the ground depends on the circumstances of the ground, which is more shock-absorbing than Bamboo.
Instead, when running at speeds of more than 30 km / h, the board Deck is more stable than Bamboo.
Bamboo gives you the feel of a traditional skate longboard. It is flexible, so the shock absorption of the condition of the road floor is better than carbon. Instead, it feels a bit sloppy and rides for a long time, or when you run at high speeds, you have to concentrate more on your legs and ankles, which makes you tired.
Why 2in1 As shown below, the board wheels can be attached or detached to suit your taste in general on-road or off-road.
The introduction is long. So let's open it.
I ordered the UPS from an Evolve US distributor in California, USA, which took about a week to ground-shipping to BC, Canada. Two boxes are here, the small box is the all-terrain wheel kit set and the big box is the board box.
First, look at the all-terrain wheel set, depending on the wheel size, you can choose from 6 inches to 8 inches, the wheel hub in 10 different colors. I ordered six inches and the hub color was yellow to match the color of the Bamboo deck.
Additional content includes two 47T Drive belts, two 47T Drive gears, two Belt Covers, eight Ceramic Bearings, residual washers and wheel lock nuts.
Then the board body. From this generation on, we've seen a lot of hard work on board boxing design.
Recreational? I'm feeling more and more unboxing premium electronics such as mobile phones and laptops.
Open the box, the board body at the bottom, a brief description for each board part at the top, and a description of the remote controller part name.
With the board body removed, there is an accessory bag and LED strip light kit on the bottom.
Accessory bags have been added since 4th generation.
In the bag you'll find a charger, board all-in-one tool, remote controller case and Evolve sticker, manual and extra bolts.
The LED strip light kit is installed on the floor of the board deck to give it a great look when riding at night.
The photo below is taken from the Evolve homepage.
Board all-in-one tool, charging adapter and USB port.
The newest addition to the Bamboo model of this 4th generation board is charging the board battery in case of emergency, etc.? Can be used as an external battery
Usually the power supply for the above LED strip light kit is via USB port.
The remote controller. It is automatically connected via Bluetooth, and the up and down buttons on the back of the remote provide power / speed mode during the ride, and when the button is pressed, the remote vibrates like the vibration of the mobile phone.
There are four ride modes: Eco (Cruise Mode), Pro (70% Power Speed Mode), GTR (90% Power Speed Mode), and CUST (Custom Mode). Adjustable)
On the screen, you can change the real-time ride speed in miles or kilometers, change the current ride distance, wheel size and gear ratio, and check the remaining battery power on the board and the remote battery.
As shown in the picture, grab the remote and push the button with your thumb.
If you press and push both buttons by mistake, only the brake function will work.
Board body. The board Deck was inspired by the design of a classic muscle car.
Wheel colors, sizes are so many, there are many options when ordering.
I am orange and the wheel size is 97mm 76A.
There are many variables such as wheel size, gear size, rider's weight, wind direction, strength, ground condition, etc.
In general, the board specifications are briefly summarized as
Street specs
Range-31 Miles = 50 km (Travel Battery-10 Miles-can be carried on most planes)
Speed-26 MPH = 42 km / h
Hills-30% Gradient-Almost all hill roads go up at all.
All Terrain Specs
Range-19 Miles (Travel Battery-7 Miles)
Speed-22 MPH
Hills-25% Gradient
DECK Length: 96 cm
Wheel base: 940 mm to 910 mm adjustable
TRUCKS: As you can see in the picture below, when you carve on the road with a double truck, you can enjoy it very smoothly and easily (like surfing from side to side, or turning snowboard from side to side).
MOTOR: Dual motor, 1500 watt (3000 watt total) high performance custom made brushless out-runner motor.
BATTERY: The standard battery is 14AH Samsung Lithium Ion battery and the travel battery is 4.2AH Sony Lithium Ion battery.
Charging Time: Samsung Battery is 4-5 hrs, Sony Battery is 1.5-2 hrs.
Board weight: 10.3kg-standard battery with street wheels, 8.5kg-travel battery, 11.3kg-standard battery with All Terrain wheels, 9.5kg-travel battery. -In a word, it's a lot heavy, so your arms are numb to carry around for a long time.
This is a size comparison with my son's mini cruiser board.
Even mini cruiser board, wheel size is regular size installed in general adult skateboard and longboard, but
This motor board is a lot different from the 97mm size.
Finally, with the launch of this fourth generation, Evolve has uploaded a promo video.
We hope you all enjoy a safe personal mobility life.
