Ozmo Pocket 6th Firmware Update Tester (Hybrid AF)
Ozmo Pocket 6th Firmware Update Tester (Hybrid AF)
Whether DJI was about to open, or whether it was originally an online game, the 6th firmware update for Ozmo Pocket has already been released.
It seems that the firmware update has been released every month since its release.
This update was actually due to an accidental exposure to the app on Friday, and the DJI was bounced back.
I did not actually install it, but the update notes were released in advance.
This time, it was updated.
Improved focus speed by adding phase detection autofocus
Added function for official cell stick
Added function for waterproof case
Speed up video downloads in apps
It was quite surprising that 1 phase detection AF would be added. After the information leaked, I had to shoot some image samples for comparison with the previous firmware and wait for the update.
There was a lot of improvement in the update, but there was a part that gave me the limitation of hardware using contrast AF,
I have written a sensor with phase detection hardware from the beginning, and it seems to have released the function now.
Of course, it's a hybrid sensor for mobile, but it's interesting.
First, I tested it to be moving focus by phase detection like Sony Mirrorless bodies, but I can not expect such advanced performance either.
I then compared the focus speed of the focal length to the focal length ...
Is it slower than previous firmware?
Ah, of course, because of phase AF, the contrast movement of the focus beyond the specific AF,
The focus speed was a little slower. It is a one-step forward.
Maybe we will continue to improve performance in future updates.
And with the addition of a dedicated cellar and waterproof case ...
It seems that the accessories that had been postponed since it was summer vacation season will be released in 8 months from now.
Both are said to be released in July.
Finally, the video download speed in the app is 1.5MB, 1.5 times faster.
The focus slows down in this update, but when you look at the sample on the video, the focus moves more smoothly.
Something speed is not bad, but the focus detection frequency is a little jagged.
DJI tech support says that it will be faster than the iPhone in comparison, but it seems to be the next update.
Anyway, it is interesting to see the technology added.
