You know i've heard a lot about the film Venom, before i even saw it, i have heard a lot of people dis it, and call it crap. However i for one, thoroughly fucking enjoyed that film.

Sure it starts off slow, but i actually quite like what they did with the film, building it up, finishing strong. However there's probably a few out there who aren't familiar with the Character Venom. For those uninitiated amongst you, Venom is an alien symbiote that joins together with a host body to survive. Primarily seen in Marvel Comics, and i believe most pronounced in the Spiderman Comics and cartoons on TV. Venom Normally Seen as a bad guy character, i love the fact that they turned him into a semi-good guy in this particular film.

The Film venom has great CGI and the design for Venom and Riot i thought was amazing. The Character Development and even the conflict between Venom and his host Eddie Brock i thought was great, but lets get serious for a Moment. The Storyline of this particular film, is as you might imagine, a scientist, just looking for a way to travel in space, make his mark on the world. Discovers lifeforms on a meteorite flying through space. However he makes the same mistakes we seen in all films like this, he decides to bring them back to earth for investigation. He quickly finds that they need a host to survive in our atmosphere, and this is where it all starts going to shit.

The Symbiote Venom, manages to find a host in Eddie, when Eddie brakes into the building to get a story, chaos ensues as Eddie tries to figure out what's going on, and Venom starts to have fun in his new surroundings. However this quickly changes, when Venom, i guess starts to like Eddie, and Earth in general and decides that he wants to stay. However his Commander Riot, has other ideas, and he is the one trying to bring the rest of his kind down to infect and take over the earth. What ensures next is an action packed battle and the sacrifice of a now actually quite liked character Venom.

That my friends is the short version of the story, and trust me there's a lot more to the story than this. The story is fun to watch, and you really want to see what happens next. The film is roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes long, however it feels like less than an hour, because you are so intrigued in the story and want to see what happens next that the time flies. I for one am really looking forward to the sequel, and yes, it does appear that there will be a sequel.

Venom, i will give a 9/10 rating, it's a very well completed script, excellently executed, and i cannot wait for the "Carnage" to come in the sequel.

Venom is available in most cinema's worldwide, and can also be purchased on BlueRay and DVD. You can find it online, however this is one of the few films i would recommend to actually purchase a ticket, or purchase the film on Disc to support future films.

Now this may not be the same for all of you, however i would recommend, that regardless of what you've heard other people say, and even disregarding, what you've read on this review, watch the film for yourself, make your own judgement. This film deserves at least that much.

Thanks again for reading, My Reviews are few and far between, and probably seem more like ramblings, but i hope you enjoy what you've read.
