Nintendo Fun Club News (April/May 1988)

Nintendo Fun Club News was a bi-monthly newsletter/magazine that was the predecessor of Nintendo Power. There were only seven issues so it was published for less than two years before being revamped as Nintendo Power.

The April/May 1988 issue (the 6th issue) includes the following:

• Prez Sez - A letter from the President of Nintendo Fun Club, Howard Phillips. It mentions that Fun Club membership has grown to over a million and also introduces some of the highlights of this issue.


• Zelda II - The Adventure of Link - A review and strategy guide for the second Zelda game for the NES.


• U.S. Golf Sneak Peek - A preview of the upcoming U.S. Golf for the NES including screen shots of the various holes.


• Super Mario Bros. II Sneak Peek - A very brief look at what had to have been one of the most anticipated sequels of all time. No screen shots though.


• Double Dragon Review - A review of this classic arcade beat-'em-up conversion from Tradewest for the NES.

• Stuff & Things - Stuff...and things...that members can buy, including a Zelda hint book, a Super Mario Bros. hint book, and more.
