The most unnecessary thing to order when going out to a restaurant!!!

Hi! this is my first post and with it i would like to share an important tip when going out for lunch or dinner. The first thing a server ask after saying hello is: "Would you like anything to drink??" Most of the people do the right thing and order a beer or a glass of wine.  Worst thing is to ask for a soft drink or a bottled water. Here in the United Kingdom you are looking at a price tag of 2.75£ for a 330 ml bottled water  and 2.5£ for a soft drink which is basically sugar mixed with soda water. My advice if you are thirsty order Tap water,  you will be fine at least here i can say tap water is safe to drink. Save that extra cash for some dessert or a cup of coffee after the meal. Never ever order a bottled water in a restaurant because you will be paying premium price for something you could get cheaper after getting out of the restaurant.
