What Does the Bible Really Teach? - Bible Study Programme

Hi Guys!
I am one of Jehovah's witnesses. As you may or my not know, the witnesses are known from going door to door talking to people about the bible. Why do we do this?
Jesus told his followers to “make disciples of people of all the nations.” (Matthew 28:19, 20) When he sent out his early disciples, Jesus directed them to go to the homes of the people. (Matthew 10:7, 11-13) After Jesus’ death, first-century Christians continued to spread their message both “publicly and from house to house.” (Acts 5:42; 20:20) We follow the example of those early Christians and find that the door-to-door ministry is a good way to reach people.
I will be starting a "blog" based on our bible study programme that we offer to people when we go door to door. We use a book called 'Whats Does the Bible Really Teach?'. In this Blog we will cover such topics as:
- Who is God?
- Does God really care about me?
- How can I improve my marriage?
- How can I find happiness in life?
- Why does God allow suffering?
And many more...
I encourage you to follow along in your own Bible if you have one, so that you can see the answers to these topics and more from your personal copy. If you don't have your own bible you can follow along by clicking here.
You might be wondering :
What is the format of the study programme? We take such topics as “God” or “marriage” and examine different Bible verses that relate to the subject. By comparing them, we see what the Bible as a whole says about the topic, and in this way we let the Bible interpret itself.
If I accept a Bible study, do I have to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses? No. Jehovah’s Witnesses love teaching people about the Bible, but we never force anyone to become a member of our religion. Rather, we respectfully present what the Bible says, recognizing that each person has the right to choose what he or she will believe.—1 Peter 3:15.
What will I learn? You will learn truths based on what God says, NOT a religion.
What you won't learn. You won't be taught religious traditions, beliefs or ideas contrary to what is in the Bible. ONLY what God (Jehovah) says.
