Jesus and Tithing
JESUS AND THE HYPOCRITES
The Son of God left the pure portals of the Heavenly Zion to come down to this dark and dirty polluted planet to give us fallen creatures Eternal Life.
Yes, multitudes followed Him, but the strange thing is that everyone did not follow Him.
He came to a predominately dead, dry, and heartless religious people dominated by a ruthless pagan Roman empire, fulfilling Is. 53:2 “For He (Jesus) shall grow up before Him (The Father) as a tender plant, and as a root out of a (spiritually) dry ground.”
It was an extra special privilege just to see and hear the Only Begotten Son of the Living God, but the Jews did not realize it. Many turned away from Him.
Isaiah said “For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” Mt. 13:15
The Jews asked Jesus who He was many times, but they were not prepared to believe that He was who He said He was.
The Pharisees thought that they alone had the Keys of the Kingdom and could not understand why Jesus was performing miracles.
The builders of the Kingdom of God rejected the Chief Cornerstone thereof, so God’s grace was taken from them and given to others. Mt.21: 42-43
Jesus approached all men with kindness and truth, but they were ruled by their fallen natures and manifested hatred toward Him. They were animated by selfish envy and insane jealousy.
Some people are of the devil and don't even know it. They have a wrong spirit and want to hurt others.
Those who do not believe in Jesus are not of God. Jesus told some, “Ye are of your father the devil.” Jn. 8: 44
Many men resented Jesus without a cause, but God chose Him before the foundations of the world.
Christ said, “If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both Me and my Father.” Jn. 15:24
Any religion without Jesus Christ is hateful hypocrisy and hell on earth.
Christ was confronted with insults and abuse, but He remained cool and collected.
The Pharisees viciously attacked Him, but Christ stayed poised and felt only pity for them.
“The scribes and the Pharisees began to urge Jesus vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.” Lk. 11: 53
Jesus demonstrated His superior grace and wisdom as He dealt with all manner of unregenerate people in all sorts of situations.
Many times Jesus asked His critics an easy question, but they could not or would not respond to His simple logic.
The Pharisees gave up asking Jesus questions, but the common people heard Him gladly.
While the religious priests made public spectacles of themselves, Jesus went about quietly doing good and healing the sick.
The trouble with the Pharisee praying in the temple is that he was so busy telling God what great things he had done.
