Living in Integrity

Ezekiel 8:12

12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen
what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the
dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for
they say, The Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath
forsaken the earth.

In Ezekiel 8, God showed the prophet vivid pictures of the behavior of the leaders of both Judah and Israel, the two kingdoms that had at one time comprised the nation of Israel. It was far from a pretty picture. The leaders of Israel had begun engaging in terrible, sinful behavior, all the while convinced that God was no longer watching: "They say, 'The Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.'" In other words, they were more concerned about their reputations than about their character. That's the nature of "hidden sin," isn't it? It's too easy sometimes to excuse our sin, convinced that since no one knows about it, we must be doing all right.

When we believe we can do whatever we want in private, even when it contradicts what we profess in public, we violate what God has called us to be. God wants us to commit ourselves to integrity, even when it comes to things we do when no one else is present.

Integrity has been defined as always doing the right thing, even when no one is observing. As followers of Jesus Christ, we should always remember that there is never a moment when our heavenly Father isn't watching us - and we should always do what is right.

This made me remember the person of Job. He was one who lived faithful despite the so many trials that came his way. He proved to Satan that although we are imperfect humans, we can serve God faithfully.

Thank you so much @deathlyhorror for share again religion related post, every man should make article about own religion like you. you have done amazing job right now.

Thank you for the helpful information. I will definitely read the Bible. We should always do well, live in integrity with the World and with God.

Golden words @deathlyhorror ,we must always be kind and grateful. It is necessary to constantly do good things and help other people, if possible.

threre has many things to learn from you..
thanks for religious post..
I like it..👌👌👌

very informative, thank you.

Great religious content dear friend @deathlyhorror. I appreciate your beautiful spiritual thoughts.

I'm a Christian who posts an evangelical article about the great Christian scientists throughout history. Is there a group of like minded Steemians on discord or a similar site available to join? I only seem to be reaching out to hardcore atheists and that is great but I could use some help with a support structure. Thanks for your time and great post, I often tell people to read the Bible cover to cover the way it is meant to be read rather than the snippets people take out of order and context, that's what I mean by support :)

I guess it depends a lot on what tags you use. I personally don't use discord. Do you mean you are posting on steemit?

I only post on Steemit so far but I use discord groups to help with things I write on other subjects like homeschooling and news. I'm still looking for somewhere to get more feedback on the Christian posts I make. I need a lot of work with tags across the board I think, still very new to social media :)

Leadership to God is as sub-shepherdhood. Stewardship would define the spirit of a true shepherd one that must be accountable to the Lord himself and that represent the love and care of God the Father..

God is always particular about the leaders(pastors) over his people..Even today paul said the pastors take heed unto the flocks committed to them..
