Having "The Blues" After a Bad Breakup, & Resentment Toward Father (Church EXCERPT, July 8)

Church July 8, Jesse talks with a young man who's upset over relationships. He brings up the cell phones and social media that allows so much corruption. (Jesse says his producer James is always on his phone, it's bad.) He knows his ex-girlfriend has cheated on him with other guys. He doesn't feel he deserves it because he doesn't even talk to girls on social media.

Jesse asks him if he's a nice guy, he says yes he tries to be a gentleman. Jesse says, "Weak! Beta!" He says he can't be a "d—" to people all the time, or he'd have no friends. He can't be alpha male all the time — but he doesn't have many friends anyway!

He and his ex have both been involved in the military, and she easily gets with other guys. Now that he's finally broken up with her for good he's having "love pains," the blues, "sittin' by the dock of the bay." Jesse points out he's trying to get love from her, which she doesn't have. Men get love from Christ — men need Christ, and the woman needs the man who needs Christ. So take the pain and learn from it.

He's not forgiven his mother, Jesse says. He has a woman identity. He doesn't feel he needs to forgive his mother, that she did her best, but he wishes she'd stood up more for her to his dad. He says he didn't grow up as such a good person — he was raised by the streets. Angry people don't have love, so they compensate with imitation "love," that spoils and doesn't solve the problem .

This man feels he needs to forgive his father who was too into religion. He says he has a tough time visiting him, so he may have to talk with him about it over the phone. Jesse urges him, "This is White History Month!" and urged him to take a weekend and go see him. And let that woman go! He recommends Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding for sad songs, and they all get a laugh. Three days of crying and be done with it!

Jesse urges him to do the Silent Prayer http://silentprayer.video | http://rebuildingtheman.com/church — it's so serious yet so simple. Work on your own life. It's in your hands. He'd been avoiding it. So don't let your father the devil talk you out of it.
