Marriage as an institution has its law and also steps to its success. The first step is making a proper choice of a life partner.
Now the question!
Who should you marry?
Marry in your faith: Many people make the mistake by marrying from another religion, I don't buy the idea, this may cause a big problem if the other partner isn't ready to compromise his/her faith for the other. Christians marry Christians, Muslims marry Muslims, etc.
One with good character: DON'T marry anyone expecting he/she will change in marriage, marriage doesn't change anyone. Marry one with a good character, character you can cope with.
Check for Compatibility: This doesn't mean similarity, for example, if your wife loves talking, you must be a good listener, you both must just be compatible as a biro pen and it's cover, not similar but compatible.
Marry your Friend: Marriage is all about companionship, never say "he's too close so I can't marry him". When the romance, sex and everything is gone, what will sustain your is that companionship, marry your friend.
Capacity: Marriage is not a child's play. You must have the capacity. Capacity in marriage is not just for the man but the woman too. It is not written anywhere that the man should only provide for the home.
BE WISE!!!
Marry for pure and deep love only. Marry because the person whose finger you place that ring means everything to you, you would give your life for that person. Marriage isn't taken seriously enough these days. It has become an entity that can be voided by an easy process so people enter it lightly with little or no thought process. The only reason for marriage is love and love alone.
