INBOXED: In a relationship do you feel like you should ask for help or your s/O should offer?
Here's my reply:
#1 Communication is better than assuming or expecting.
#2 Telepathy is an unrealistic expectation and obligation is a negative motivator.
#3 People tend to keep count of all the times their spouse fail the help test, and forego all the times you did help.
#4 Helping isn't really appreciated as help unless the person ask anyway.
#5 If you assume, the helped can act different, with a certain attitude; or they can always say I never asked for your help.
Ask pleasantly whenever you need help and show gratitude afterwards.
So what are your thoughts?
