RE: My 1 year reflection of hurricane Irma: Thoughts, reflection, memory and crypto

in #reflection7 years ago (edited)

Hey Daudi, i can only imagine that even after a year, people are still struggling to recover and rebuild their homes... and as i'm watching the news tonight, i'm thinking "here we go again"... destruction is inevitable... i just hope it doesn't strike the same places it did last time, cause that's too much for many people to bare. But at the same time they are way more prepared to face the danger, because they have the experience and remember what they wish they could have done better... and of course, the friends you make in times to struggle are the one bright aspect of this disaster... I do think that concurrency can be very useful for the islands, at the same time there needs to be a strong internet infrastructure... otherwise that currency will not be available when people need it most, like in case of a hurricane.

Anyway, I wish you best during this hurricane season.🤗

You are very correct, many people are still trying to recover and there are those who still trying to see what can work out... In reality it takes years to recover from a hurricane and one can never be prepared, you are always at the mercy of the storm, I have read many places that the houses here aren't built correctly but I have seen and experience with my own eyes the strength of a hurricane going an 200 mph, it bends steel and flatten everything in its path....

I wish everyone knows about Steem, good place to come express themselves and you are correct, we need the infrastructure with regard to the internet to accommodate the people...

i'm hoping for a calm year for the Caribbeans, if there is any justice in nature, you deserve a brake and a chance to build better and stronger...
