Flapjacks / American Pancakes / Crumpets; Call them what you will, but call me when you make them ~ BECAUSE THEY ARE DEVINE!
Here is what you will need:
1.5 cups cake flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
Pinch salt
1.25 cups milk
0.25 cup melted butter
2 large eggs lightly beaten
1 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)
And here is what you do with it:
In short you pretty much mix all of the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl untill is becomes a smoothe lump free batter.
Heat 1 tsp of sunflower or vegetable oil on a hot stove in a plate then spoon in about a 1/4 cup of the batter. Wait until the bubbled running through the flapjaco, no longer fills up with batter and leaves visible tunnels, then flip over to brown the other side.
Looks great to me! I'd call them pancakes or flapjacks
Flapjacks! How weird that someone would actually have this for breaksfast...perhaps on Sunday evening but in America they eat this for breakfast ...they also use the imperial system instead of the metric system which doesn't make sense to me...lol!
Well, I think that if my child had her way, she would alternate between these and chocolate brownies for DINNER, LUNCH AND BREAKFEAST!!
Exactly that I had for breakfast today also...
Good for you!!
They are divine!!
Yes they are!
