Iced Cinnamon Roll: An E-Liquid Recipe
Good Day, Steemit! It's your friend, Raging Liberty here - a man of numerous avocations. In an attempt to brighten a seemingly darkened world, I would love to share a fresh, hot, iced cinnamon roll with you - well, sort of.
Due to the FDA's recent assault on the vaping industry, it's now illegal to market any new vaping products (unless you're part of Big Tobacco, in that case, you're a party to fascistic corruption and are conveniently exempted in the name of "public health"). This means no new e-liquids or vaping hardware. In two years, an estimated 99% of current vaping products that we currently enjoy may disappear. This makes it vitally important to learn to make our own supplies.
In order to successfully make your own e-liquid, you will need the following, all of which should be available at your local vapors shop - or a reputable online retailer like Wizard Labs:
- Syringes with flat-head needles, beakers, or other measurement tools suitable for liquids
- Pharmaceutical grade propylene glycol (PG)
- Pharmaceutical grade vegetable glycerine (VG)
- Natural or artificial food flavorings
- There are many brands from which to choose, although many recipes may be brand-specific due to the various nuances each possess
- Pharmaceutical grade nicotine (strengths vary, I use a 60mg Nicotine-PG solution)
- 5, 10, 15, or 30ml (glass) bottle in which you will mix and store your e-juice
- Rubber gloves and eye protection (both optional, but recommended).
Let's do this! Let's make some "unregulated" e-liquid!
First, you'll need these ingredients:
- PG
- VG
- Nicotine
- Cinnamon Danish Swirl (Capella brand flavoring)
- Vanilla Swirl (The Flavor Apprentice brand flavoring)
The Process
...let's make 10ml of e-juice in 6mg strength
- Since nicotine is the only chemical in this recipe that necessitates the use of gloves, start with that.
- Add 1ml to your bottle
- The base of this e-juice is 60% PG & 40% VG
- Add 3.4ml PG
- Add 4ml VG
- Now it is time to add the flavoring. The recipe calls for 12% Capella's Cinnamon Danish Swirl and 4% of The Flavor Apprentice's Vanilla Swirl.
- Add 1.2ml Cinnamon Danish Swirl
- Add 0.4ml Vanilla Swirl
- Affix the bottle top and shake thoroughly.
- OPTIONAL: For best results, it is imperative to let the e-juice steep to ensure the best flavor. Left alone, I prefer to steep my e-juice for at least one week.
- The steeping process can be greatly increased by heating the liquid.
- Place the e-liquid-containing glass bottle in a pot (submerge to neck of bottle) and bring water to a boil. Once boiling, turn off the stove and allow water to cool. Leave the e-liquid inside until the water has cooled.
- After steeping, I still usually wait several days before vaping the fresh e-liquid.
Before you go...
- Remember that the most important aspect of this recipe is the flavor profile (12% Cinnamon Danish Swirl, 4% Vanilla Swirl).
- If you want a better balance between vapor production and taste, try using 50%-50% PG/VG solution. PG = More Taste - VG = More Vapor
- You can also alter the nicotine content of the e-liquid. I prefer 6mg, but other prefer stronger or weaker mixtures (including liquids without nicotine).

Nice! Vegetable glycerin is the way to go! I will be trying this. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks! The cinnamon in the recipe can get strong, especially if you use too much--which is why I recommend only using 12%. Higher VG can mute the taste a little. Let me know what you think!
I think you should try posting more diy ejuice recipes on here. Im going to try and post something new every few days
