Shortbread Whipped
Ingredients:
1 cup of butter, softened
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of icing sugar or 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1/4 cup red maraschino cherry
1/4 cup green maraschino cherry
Direction:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixing bowl and using an electric mixer, combine butter, flour, icing sugar and vanilla extract; Mix until the mixture has a smooth consistency. Prepare the baking sheets with parchment paper. Place the dough in parchment baking trays lined with teaspoons or tablespoons of larger crackers, spacing approximately 2 inches apart.
Cut the maraschino cherries into quarters and place a piece in the center of each cookie, alternating with red and green cherries. Bake in the preheated oven at 350 ° F for 13 to 15 minutes or until the bottom of the cookies is lightly browned, never store. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes.
Transfer to wire racks to finish cooling. Store in a container with a lid and separate each layer with waxed paper.
