Mary Cookies Flan
Sometimes it causes us a craving and we do not have anywhere near where to buy a candy.
Today I share with you the recipe that I prepare for my baby, super easy, with few ingredients and delicious, where the protagonist is the traditional biscuit María.
María cookies began to be manufactured in 1923, in the company Eugenio Fontaneda and today it is still the favorite of adults and children.
The ingredients that we will need are the following:
√ 10 cookies (Maria type).
√ 500 ml. milk.
√ 4 eggs.
√ 80 gr. of sugar.
√ 1 teaspoon vanilla.
√ Liquid caramel (150 gr of sugar and 3 tablespoons of water).
preparation:
The first thing we will do is preheat the oven to 120º.
Then, pour in a bowl the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla and cookies Mary, which were previously crumbled (can be with the hands or electric chopper). We mix well and reserve.
Next, we prepare the liquid caramel.
Place the sugar in a pot with fire. With the help of a wooden pallet, we stir it until it melts.
Once the sugar is taking a golden color, we lower it from the fire.
Having ready the mixture and the caramel, we proceed to pour around the walls of a mold or several small molds, the liquid caramel and finally we throw the obtained mixture (the one that we reserve).
For the cooking of this flan we will do it inside the oven for about 25 minutes in a water bath (that is, we introduce the mold (s) inside a pot with water, which should be below the half where the flan); Puncture with a knife and when it comes out clean, our flan is ready.
We take out of the oven and let it cool, take it to the refrigerator for 04 hours before serving.
Tips:
- At the time of serving they can pour over the flan, liquid caramel, place a Mary cookie or a little whipped cream.
- This recipe can also be prepared with Oreo cookies.
