RE: Random Challenge of the Day #26

Dear Kelli!

A favorite to me is the 3rd movement of J. N. Hummels Trumpet Concerto in E-minor, presented by the ingenious Tine Thing Helseth from Norway:

Johann Nepomuk Hummel was a contemporary and student of W.A. Mozart and has written some very fine pieces of music. He was born in 1778 in Austria and died in Germany back in 1837.

The clarity in this music! Wonderful! Trumpet is one of my favorite instruments. It offers great possibilities for expression.

I also have other favorites, no doubt about that. Some times I prefer electronic music, Blues, Jazz, Volksmusik.
Maybe you find the time to listen 3 minutes into this wonderful music of Edvard Grieg, Piano Concerto in A minor, Op.16 - II. Adagio:

(this piano concert is wonderful. I am sure, you will not regret listening 3 minutes into it :) )

On other days, James Blood Ulmer would come into my mind and I would listen to his great music.
He is a real great musician and one of my all time favorites.

unfortunately bad (old recording) sound quality, but still James Blood Ulmer:

btw: my favorite US-American politician is Ron Paul. He knows the way to freedom and prosperity.

What a great variety of songs! I enjoyed them all, but jazz is definitely a genre I enjoy and I'd never heard of James blood ulmer. I like his stuff. Thanks for sharing. ❤

Yeah, James Blood Ulmer is great.
Odyssey is one of his best albums. I bought it 30 years ago, after I have seen James Blood Ulmer and his Phalanx band in Austria, Bad Ischl Konzerthalle.

The Phalanx concert was absolutely fantastic, a great dancing event. We enjoyed his music very much. I have many of his old vinyl recordings. Fortunately most of his great music is online at YouTube nowadays. ;)
