The job
I wrote a poem in work a while ago during a tense day and would like to share it. I don't read much poetry but it would be a go to in work in between calls, rivalling only the lofty game of Minesweeper. I work as a call centre advisor for a company run by dicks. Its a pain to access the internet and we are usually scolded off it within ten minutes. Many of the things customers ring in asking us can only be accessed outside our limited systems and this contradicts the companys message of ownership to the customers query .
Writing poetry can be a stress reliever as it allows you to summise your feelings. In english class back in secondary education i consistently asked my teacher what made a poem a poem. She always responded with a load of waffle that seemed to change whenever i asked her a different time. In line with this important educational advice i am putting onto you this erratic piece. The only guideline being what i felt sat right with me.
I am limited in my knowledge and am very bukowski prone at the moment due to the recommendation of a friend. I don't have a solid name for this and am open to any suggestions. if not its being called Seatown Road after the street nearby.

beep beep beep
disconnected it reads
signalling the monotony that seperates
each plea for connection
they have no internet or phone
and will tear through you like paper
confidence is the answer.
resolution without confidence is acceptable and vice versa
both are the goal
without confidence they will always demand
or at least wonder wether they couldve broke you
all for £1.50 off their bill.
If you cant be confident, be apathetic
Words mean nothing if you dont care.

rather than a speakers mouth.
