RE: A Rambling Remembering of September 11th, 2001
It used to be "history is written by the victors" but that has morphed to "history is written by the corporations". All one has to do is look at the INSANE amounts of money funneled into a handful of corps for "the war effort" post 9/11. Who was to benefit most from a tragedy hitting home soil? Those that supply the materials for the subsequent war. How this has eluded so many in this culture is amazing, but then again people tend to be easy to fool.
The military-industrial complex certainly won big, but I think it was likely more a case of warmongers capitalizing on tragedy to drive more intervention, and not someone instigating a black flag attack for political power or profit. But I can't be certain of that, now can I?
It ALWAYS pays to follow the money. Greed is a seriously strong motivator for many atrocities through history.
