QuarkChain the future of High-throughput Blockchain technology?

QuarkChain – The Future of Blockchain.

At first we had bitcoin, a smart secure way to transfer value. Next we had Ethereum, which introduced us to smart contracts verified by the blockchain! The problems with these types of network are that they are bottle necked by the amount of transactions that they can perform.

Ethereum can only handle around 14TPS and bitcoin even less just 7 TPS. How on earth will they be able to support millions of user’s? Without high transactions fees or slow transaction times. QuarkChain wants to solve these problems! And bring forward the future of blockchain technology!

What is QuarkChain?

It gets its name from quark, which is one of the smallest building blocks of the universe, and acts as a great metaphor for this project as a whole.

QuarkChain is a 2-layer blockchain ecosystem, which aims to achieve high transactions per second, and support dAPP’s by using sharding technology! The network hopes to achieve in excess of a million TPS, in the future. They already have a test net running already performing at 2kTPS, which is a positive start. They will also scale as the network grows!

The 2-layer blockchain, will comprise of a main Rootchain, as well as a secondary chain. Which will be elastic like in principle, and scale as required. This scaling is achieved via sharding technology.

Sharding basically separates parts of the network, so the whole blockchain will not be under strain if there is one particularly intensive dAPP running, or there is a surge of transactions!

This secondary layer, will leave the main root chain unaffected. (not sharded) 50% of the networks hashing power is sent to the Main root chain, to avoid byzantine attack, and double spend!

This project also aims to reduce centralisation of node powers, in a traditional network the more tokens you have, the stronger your nodes effect on the governance! This leaves the power in the minority wealthy few, which skews distribution to expensive node holders.

QuarkChain will allow multiple cheap nodes to form a cluster, and replace super full nodes. This will help to decentralise the network further!

The project will support dAPPs, and will use the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM), currently Ethereum is the blockchain, which has the most dAPPs running and thus the most familiar with developers, therefore it makes sense to implement this. As it will allow easy migration for them to move over to the QuarkChain ecosystem,
