QRL (Quantum Resistant Ledger) Price Forecast of $4.56

in #qrl7 years ago (edited)

QRL (Quantum Resistant Ledger)

is a cryptovalue which claims to be impervious to quantum computer attacks. Its motto is "cryptography with longevity." Not unlike the "quantum-proof blockchain" developed by Russian scientists.

The ICO sold out in a private sale with a cap of $4M. The circulating supply of QRL (Quantum Resistant Ledger) is 52,000,000 and the current market cap is $34,512,088. This means each QRL token was initially sold at around $.0769. The current price of QRL as of 06/11/2017 9:19 AM is $.67; which means the value of the token has gone up 8.72x since the ICO. QRL went live on Bittrex yesterday (06/10/17) https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-QRL

If QRL reaches the middle of this territory:

of which the median market cap is presently $235,500,000, and I think it will, QRL should be trading at roughly 6.82x what it is now bringing the value each QRL token to $4.56. I'm not a math guy at all so if I'm way off let me know in the comments so I can make a revision.

Disclaimer: I hold a relatively small QRL position.

Those involved in the cryptocurrency ecosystem should not lose sleep agonizing over the possibility of random people cracking the protocol. Best case scenario quantum computing is not poised to undermine bitcoin’s foundational technology. Worst case scenario, the technology to attack bitcoin is already here, but no one feels incentivized enough to crack it.

Nonetheless, there is a concern from security experts that the bitcoin protocol should upgrade from SHA-256 to SHA-384, which is a sufficiently more advanced form of cryptography. This would be done as a safety measure, just in case. That is why Satoshi Nakomoto ensured the algorithm could easily be upgraded and enhanced. He knew technology would steadily evolve and he wanted his open-source, peer-to-peer system to evolve with it.

Excellent article, wish i would have stumbled apon this sooner as i bought in at $1.08. Its interesting how a new coin can slide into 3rd position with volume. Where can one find oppourtunities to invest in new crypto before they are released to market places? Though i would assume there are a lot of junk coins out there, there has to be some great up and coming ones as well.

Look out for upcoming ICOs. Usually it pays off pretty well to invest during an ICO and enjoy the benefits of it when the coin hits the market.

Be sure to do your due diligence before investing in anything :)

Below is the link to one of the places you can check some upcoming ICOs. Google for more.

Here's some additional information:

http://globalriskinstitute.org/quantum-computing-new-threat-cybersecurity/

It underlines the urgency of developing "quantum-safe" cryptography to guard against these threats. "It is very important that we are not caught off-guard and forced to fire-fight a threat that takes years of preparation to properly defend ourselves against," the report adds.

QRL will go up no matter what, the technology behind it is nifty

whats your opinion now on QRL?

No, I still think it'll get to ~$4.50 eventually

QRL now at $.56 as of 7/7/2017 midnight PST. Do you think is a good entry point since it is down a bunch from $2.19 ATH? Looking to place order want to know your opinion.. Also with Genesis Block a few 6-8 weeks away ..

Nice price increase today guys!

Sir,

Salutations.

You may or may not have heard of me.

I am JaiChai.

I enjoyed your post.

And yes, quantum resistance will be an increasingly complicated challenge - not just for products and entities that rely on cryptographic- based security, but also for anything down the security threat level chain.

Thank you for your article.

But...

what prompted me to comment was the fact that there is another, more established cryptocurrency that is quantum resistant called IOTA.

It uses the MCMC (Markov Chain Monte Carlo) algorithm.

It is traded on Bitfinex and also via escrow accounts on Slack.

Namaste,

JaiChai
