How often do you push yourself?

How often do you push yourself? How about pushing others around you?

Rarely something grows by itself through inactivity. In fact, inactivity has a negative impact on growth.

Your skills, as well as your muscles, grow when you exercise them. But this is not the only condition to make them bigger and stronger, because there’s a tolerance level to any activity.

If you go to the gym everyday and do the same exercises with the same reps and weights, you’ll get a bell-shaped growth curve. It’s the extra reps and the variations that make the difference.

This is applicable to any skill you currently have or you’d like to learn. I’m no fan of topics, but when you jump onto uncomfortable situations, your body gives the best it’s got to perform accordingly, unless you let fear take over.

Fear and comfortability are your worst enemies, and as they say “keep your friends close and your enemies even closer”. In life, we have access to millions of opportunities waiting for us to just try and take them, but the biggest obstacles we often face are fear and comfort. Once you master both of them, you’ll never want to go back.

Discipline, bravery and self-confidence can take you way farther than you could ever imagine. You will never stop learning and you will be amazed of what you are able to do. We often read stories of overachieving people and we get this feeling of admiration, but we think to ourselves “I wish I could be that successful”.

Success is another stop in many of the roads will be crossing in life, we just gotta get it. Push yourself towards your goals. Is it too hard to make a sacrifice? Then you ain’t no go-getter.

“I don’t have time” is the worst excuse you can give to yourself. “I’m not good enough”, find your greatest skills and squeeze them to the maximum. Everyone loves sleeping, but while you sleep 2 extra hours, someone else with the same goals is already 2 hours ahead of you. Discipline yourself, create a balance and make the most out of your time.

What’s the most valuable asset in your life? If your answer is other than “time”, you are doing something wrong. Money, jobs, people and opportunities come and go, but time does never come back.

There’s no universal correct way of doing things, but you have to use your time efficiently. Do you waste time on apps that don’t have a return for you? Do you spend time complaining about a problem instead of investing it on a proper solution?

If you wanna get it, you need to grow. You need to change. You need to improve. Evaluate yourself EVERY SINGLE DAY. Be better than the day before, be a happier person, be a stronger self. Surround yourself with the right environment.

“Just because you worked to get where you are, doesn’t mean you can just sit back and settle there. You have to stay open to what’s coming next. What worked 5 years ago, might not work today. If you are willing to be successful, you have to be willing to change. Every blessing, is not supposed to be permanent.

We should constantly evaluate our friendships. Who’s speaking into your life. Who are you depending on. Make sure they are not dragging you down, limiting you from blossoming. Everybody is not supposed to be in our lives forever. If you don’t get rid of the wrong friends, you will never meet the right friends.”

Life is like a bus on a road with infinite stops. People will hope on and off along the way. Some will be with you for a few stops, others will stick around longer and others won’t even get in touch with you at all. But don’t make mistakes and hop off on wrong stops, because you’ll be wasting time while waiting for another bus to take you to your destination.
