Just happened to see this and I had to share the thought.
The manufacturer may have their idea of how they want people to use their product. But in the age of SaaS, forking blockchain, open source code, and customization, people simple dont care.
When the product enters the public space the manufacturer/dev/company/ can no longer control how people choose to make the product fit their need.
Tokenization is lead to many interesting 2nd and 3rd markets for cryptos.
