Self-sufficiency can be called the ability of a person to live and manage in everything absolutely independently, not being afraid to remain alone, without turning to the support of other people. Today the development of self-sufficiency is very important, a lot of trainings, seminars, articles and books have been devoted to this topic.

But in order to become clearer what this means, and what is the use of self-sufficiency, we need to consider this phenomenon from different angles. In total, there are three, for which reason there are three types of self-sufficiency of personality:

Social self-sufficiency. It is expressed that a person easily adapts to the rules of life, has hobbies and hobbies, in every possible way strives to develop his talents and abilities, he does his favorite thing. Such a person is able to ensure his life exactly as he sees fit.
Economic self-sufficiency. It is inherent in most adults and independent people. It is expressed that the person has skills of cooking, arrangement and cleaning of housing, housekeeping. Such a person is able to organize his life at home without any problems.
Psychological self-sufficiency. It is most often implied when it comes to self-sufficiency. It is expressed in the fact that a person can make his own decisions, does not depend on public opinion, knows what to do with himself, does not miss when there is nobody around. But the main thing is that such a person can develop and grow personally due to the peculiarities of his inner world.
To some extent, we will affect all species, but we will still speak mainly about psychological self-sufficiency. Also, one should not confuse self-sufficiency with self-closure, asceticism or austerity, when a person abstracts from the outside world for some reason or for some purpose.

A self-sufficient person is not just someone who can and can survive, but he who makes decisions himself makes life choices regardless of the opinions of others; who is independent of people, neither on a chemical level, nor on an emotional level.
