Why We are Seeing all of the Mass Shootings Lately in the United States (According to Psychology)

A demented madman had guns in his possession, and he had already done jail time for domestic violence. He killed several people and he injured many more. Now, why have all of these mass killings in the United States occurred lately, all within a relative time frame? I'll tell you why- it's because of Las Vegas- the Las Vegas Mass Shooting. As I predicted in my podcast, the one I recorded directly after the Las Vegas mass shooting tragedy, I said it would spark a, as I quote, "chain reaction of events." So, THEN what happened? Well, first it was the terrorist in NYC with the rented truck, in which he ran over and killed eight people; a typical scum of the earth radicalist, stealing innocent lives for his "self-empowering" religion... But more relative to Las Vegas, seeing as how it involved firearms, was the Texas Mass Church Shooting- and this was only about a month after the Las Vegas incident. See? This is exactly what I was talking about, because I knew it would trigger some other mentally-delusional madman to go out on a shooting spree... and, unfortunately, well... it did. This is social psychology on a mass scale. There are a class of neurons in the human brain known as mirror neurons that make us want to replicate what we see other humans do, whilst we are observing each other. It is a function of neuronal activity with the aim of instigating and facilitating what we can refer to as "learning." Now, to most of us, we have a significant capacity for what psychologists call "impulse control." If we see someone doing something, we have the ability to respond with an internal decision-making strategy to faciliate our own behavior accordingly, and to avoid negative consequences, and negative behaviors that may lead to negative consequences. However, this is not the case for everyone. Now, when you have an anti-social sociopath that is also greatly lacking in impulse control, then what you have is a recipe for disaster- which is what we apparently have here with the latest rampage of killings from the California "domestic violence" shooter. Another example would be the Aurora movie theatre shooter. He, according to his psychiatrist and the evidence pertaining to his case, had poor impulse control as well. His docotor acknowledged that he had thoughts of violence and such that he didn't want to have, and that he didn't want to act upon them. Well, inevitably he did... and that could be another entire story to rant about... back to the latest mass murderer, however, in California- His record of domestic violence illustrates his lack of impulse control, which could be due to damage to the prefrontal cortex of the brain, or maybe underdevelopment during his crucial teenage years of development, possibly due to drug abuse. Who knows- he might have just been raised to lash out when confronted with negative emotions from others because his parents raised him that way. There are many factors at play here. This is key to think about though: When you have a guy with poor impulse control, with violent tendencies, and then something like Las Vegas happens- that is precisely the kind of thing that really conjures up the demons within certain people like that. They may, and some certainly do, start to get ideas, like, "Hey, the Las Vegas killer is famous. I hate my life and I hate other people. Maybe, I should go down in history as well," and something such as Las Vegas (and the collective effects of such an event on 'mass consciousness,' which have been documented within journals of published social-psychological literature) really does impact the collective consciousness of society in that way. As I said in my podcast about the Texas Mass Church Shooting- after something tragic like that, there are uptics in similar types of violence. And why? because the media glamorizes it, in a way. They act as if it is the most important thing in the world at the moment, and that IS enticing to a lot of sociopathic, SICKOS out there (serial killers, in particular, but also mass shooters) such as the ones that have been recently making the headlines, as well. This brings me to another important topic though: The MEDIA's role in all of this- their proliferation of all of these tragic killings and events. I mean, there is no doubt in my mind, that the fact that Kathy Griffin (who WAS EMPLOYED BY CNN at the time) held a photo shoot for the public, of her holding up Donald Trump's decapitated head... that this prompted some lunatic to go out and try to shoot up a bunch of Republicans on the baseball field- It's sick, man! Terribly sick. Kathy Griffin is a piece-of-shit human being, and this kind of thing, that is done by CNN and other media outlets is a significant part of the problem here, in terms of the instigation role. Do they apologize for it? Oh, no, never! They won't even accept the notion or the premise of the idea that 'THE NEWS' glorifies, and glamorizes, and sensationalizes violence! No! Only, fictional movies and video games do that. Ha. O.K... But the truth is- the media lies, they propagandize, and then madmen go out and shoot people 'til they die. That is it. It is tragic, it is unfortunate, and the problem is NOT gun control, but the MAINSTREAM MEDIA's control. Thanks for tuning in, this has been Psychotic Philosophy, signing out. Farewell, my fellow human beings.
