Successful People vs Unsuccessful People

It is widely known that success is a trait that everyone chases. Some attain it via means of education, others do it with intellect and some do it through fame and fortune. But when you study the habits of the masters of each trade, you'll notice they have a lot in common.

We all know Bill Gates dropped out of college. But what we aren't told is that his mother was a librarian. The time that he invested in the library while skipping school is not something any of us would do. He figured that the education that he was provided was a uni-dimensional way of thinking. He had an itch, a tick, a bug, what ever you wish to call it and made it an obsession. Obsessive traits are said to be unhealthy, but I'm not so sure about it. If your obsession prevents you from food and hygiene, yes it can be argued as such, but otherwise, its perfectly fine. A maniacal desire to learn and master a craft or an area is the prerequisite to living atop the mountain.

Kobe Bryant
Michael Jordan
Steve Jobs
Bruce Lee
Albert Einstein

What do all of these guys have in common? They have spent an incredibly amount of time maniacally obsessed with their craft. They don't keep a count of their wins and losses, their only goal is to get to their destination, no matter what. They are ALL STUBBORN individuals who do not take no for an answer.

On the other hand, unsuccessful are obsessed with being recognized more than mastering their craft. Their goals and benchmarks are set by others, and therefore they are usually chasing one thing or another. Their paradigm rests upon other's approval or disapproval. Their time is invested in finding the wrong doing of others to justify their behavior.
Here are the traits you should straw away from:
Wanting to do everything in groups
Relying on friends for approval of your hobbies
Defying authority for no reason OR Following authority blindly for no reason
Speaking of others without their presence
Drawing conclusions prematurely or via word of mouth
Stubborn with no passion
