Aren't there some people who are just clinically sociopathic who just compulsively lie to get what they want? I read that these kind of people tend to be incredibly charming and use that to manipulate the minds of others because they know they can get the upper hand. I also read that it can sometimes give them a rush of dopamine like a drug to take control or advantage of the conversation to control it however they please. Obviously just because someone lies doesn't mean they are a sociopath but this came to mind after reading the post.
