Why do we have obsessive thoughts , and what could we do about it ?

A question relevant for all of us / unfortunately enough/

We do not have a button to choose ”on” and ”off” mode , meaning that when the time for relax comes , our body and mind are still under influence of the stressful day we had.

They do not see the clock on the wall - showing that it is a rest time. They are still full of stress hormones , still fighting and trying to make the best possible” strategy “ to save us from the “storm”.

We constantly experience negative emotions: envy, fear, anxiety, excitement and despair. And after all this storm of stress that lasted all day long , we finally have our 5 minutes of peace and tranquility.

But is this true peace of mind, knowing that the storm will strike us again ?

That is the reason we have all these obsessive thoughts , disturbing our sleep , and even not letting us enjoy our life the way we should !

What could we do ?

Well first of all we need to try limit the stress as much ass possible. ? /yes I know/

You have to understand that there isn’t “stress” in the world outside you . This is something our brain creates under circumstances that are driving bad emotions and like fear , envy.. etc

We can not change the circumstances , at least not every time . We have to go to work , doing all these things that we are doing every single day , no matter if they are the most pleasant for us.
But we do could change the way we feel about all of that.

We could manage our inner world , and that is the most important in this case. / of course both “worlds” have a strong correlation / .

some easy tips are :

Trying to keep the joy in your day / like something opposite of all the stress / .
Have your smile on , be nice and gentle with people.
Do not feed bad emotions , because they could grow very easily.
You need to understand that our body and mind need some time to switch off. To become calm again , and you have to help that process .

Do something enjoyable , bringing you emotion that can last .
Read a book , go for a walk with friends , let your mind think for something different of what your day was.

Try meditation / the best here is , that this is something you have to find the way to do . Your way , because it is the only one that benefit you .

Sometimes even listening to a podcast / for example / could help you get out of the everyday thoughts - Listening to something interesting for you is actually similar to meditation - your mind is getting calm and it start to “listen” ,instead of making strategies how to survive in this stressful world.

The most important is that during your day is the period where you should manage the stress and try not to go into the emotional “storm” . When your rest time comes , it is already late.
