RE: Philosophy of Use: A Mind to Trip
As topic of psychedelics is rarely discussed in "proper" company there is a lot of stigma, misinformation and fear about it. It's seen as something that kids and immature adults who don't contribute to the society do. Never mind shamans, teachers and healers exploring the possibilities of human consciousness, creating cave art and first written symbols for human societies to build on. Very refreshing to see this piece @artisticscreech giving advise instead of judging one way or another. A level of stability in mind makes any experience a better one, having a fight with your neighbor, missing a flight, taking care of little children, and yes tripping. It is not often that we touch the vastness of "I am" and being left with yourself can be quite frightening if you have a set of assumptions of who you are and how your mind works. Spilling of the universal consciousness into the personal limitted awareness might feel like a flood in "unpleasant" trip. Checking the depth of the mind's waters before jumping in is always a good idea.
Very true. For quite some time psychedelics have been taboo for a lot of people but I am seeing a bit of a shift in the culture and they seem to be coming back in a big way. I just hope to be one of many more to come who will cover this subject.
"Checking the depth of the mind's waters before jumping in is always a good idea" That is a great way to put it.
