RE: A rant about displays of computer code in Steamit posts
I used to code for SCADA and DCS systems.
I got out of that business when I started having to program in 4 or 5 different languages per week....
Im a farmer now and my ulcers and migrains have all disappeared!
I'm sure that the following information will tickle your funny bone.
Over my professional life I have at one time or another used close to a dozen languages, and I think that without much effort I could start doing serious work in at least five of them today. Just the other day, as I began to contemplate doing some development work (for my you own use) in some particular cryptocurrency environments of interest, I realized that I'm probably going to end up having to learn somewhere between four and six new languages!
I have not yet answered the question as to whether I really want to do that! However, I am thinking that I will not have a choice because I have to get to the point where I've decided to focus on one of them and right now that decision about which one would be premature.
