Bran Castle, the palace of the Dracula
Dracula and the Transylvanian region, familiar in horror film fans. But in Romania, tourists can visit directly to his palace. So Dracula is fairy tale or real?
If traveling to Romania, it's less if you do not visit the Dracula Palace. Romania cannot be separated from the legend of Dracula the sucker of human blood. The palace is full of horror stories, with contrast instead wrapped in a beautiful scenery of Romania.
The Dracula Palace or Bran Castle is located in Transylvania, about three hours' drive from Bucharest, the beautiful Romanian capital.
Currently spring in Romania, Bucharest City is so beautiful with tulip flower views everywhere. The leaves that fall in the winter begin to re-vibrate, as well as colorful flowers. The city of Romania is also very beautiful supported by the exotic architecture of the building plus the beauty of beautiful eyed girls typical of Eastern Europe.
The temperatures in Romania are around 10 degrees Celsius, quite cool but if the wind blows fast enough at night, the temperature can drop to 5 degrees and feels piercing bones. The rain occasionally came down, if the sun came in the afternoon then it was a sign of the afternoon it would rain.
Another sight is seen as we explore the natural beauty of Romania leading to the Dracula Palace. The long road without a jam about 3 hours devoured with full of enthusiasm because of the beautiful scenery is not described.
Although spring in Romania, but along the road in the hills are still covered with thick snow. It's all white, even snow falling so fast in the middle of winter. Enjoying the snow in the exotic Romanian mountains is a sensation in the middle of the hunt for the dracula palace.
After taking long hours overland journey through challenging cliffs, we finally arrived at a tourist village where Bran Castle became its center. Arriving in the area of Dracula Palace around 11:00 local time, heavy snowfall welcomes me.
With no umbrellas and gloves, we headed directly to the main gate to the dracula Palace complex. By walking quite fast plus the spirit of exploring the castle dracula, cold temperatures in the rain snow it just disappears.
From a distance looks Bran Castle standing majestically on a rocky hill. Bran Castle seemed aloof on proof, some towering towers typical of a fairy tale palace are evocative of the exotic plus mysterious impression. From the tourist information at Bran Castle, I also get an idea of the story of Dracula.
The castle, located between the Bucegi mountains and the Piatra mountains, began its construction by King Ludovic I de Anjou in 1377. Bran Castle is planned to serve as one of the strongholds against the Ottoman Empire. Dracula's palace was once used as a fortress and military command center before being made a home for the Queen of Romania and Vlad dracula.
At that time, the fort had a prison cell, which was surrounded by thick walls around the towers and gates of magnificent towers, made of stone and brick. Until now on some trip, there is still a small cannon in the watchtower.
To climb to the castle dracula must climb a fairly steep incline along the 100 meters. From a distance, this palace looks quite as scary as the palace of witches in many stories of western legend. But do not be afraid, many tourists back and forth so that the atmosphere is not creepy. Bran castle is now officially a tourist location and no longer inhabited by the descendants of Vlad dracula.
The castle was once owned by a Romanian nobleman named Vlad Tepes known as Count Dracula. Vlad Tepes was born in 1431-1476, he is the ruler of the kingdom of Wallachia in Transylvania which is now Romania. The name Dracula comes from the order of Vlad Tepes's father, Dracul or Dragon. Vlad is known by the name of a child dracula.
Nevertheless, Vlad did not suck human blood or his victims. The real Dracula story is about Vlad's atrocities during his reign in Wallachia, Transylvania, He has a ruthless habit of stabbing the stay of those who oppose him from the rectum to the head.
The challengers disate without getting the main organ from toe to head of head so just died after 48 hours. How cruel. But whether Vlad drank his victim's blood until now cannot be proven.
The Dracula was finally killed during the crusade against the Turks in 1476. In 1930 Dracula's grave was dismantled and his body was not there, until now where the Dracula's body has not been caught in the forest. What a terrible legend!
