This post is made to fulfill the required task given by @cryptokannon and other steem greeters @kiwiscanfly, @yohan2on, @cmp2020, to mention only but a few.

Constructing this post depicts that I comprehend the basic security measures on steem and how to protect my keys from third parties.

The basic security on steem deals majorly with the safeguarding of the computer generated keys given to users upon creating their account.

Those basic security keys includes:

Private posting keys: Posting keys uses include;
Publishing a post or comment,
Editing a post or comment,
Upvoting or downvoting,
Resteeming contents,
Following and unfollowing people or accounts,
Mute accounts.

Private active keys: Active keys are used for;
Transfering tokens or funds,
Powering up or down steems,
Steem BD conversions,
Voting for witnesses,
Placing an order on an exchange,
Certain profile changes,
Publishing a witness price feed,
Creating a new user into the blockchain.

Private memo keys: Memo keys are used for;
Sending an encrypted message
Viewing an encrypted message

Private owner keys: Owner keys are used for;
Resetting all other keys such as Owner, Active, and Posting keys,
Recovering accounts,
Declining vote rights.

Compulsory questions to be answered.

•Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit? After successfully creating my account. A link which required me to download a PDF file containing my keys was shown and on that note, yes I've retrieved all my keys on steemit.

•Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes I do know them.

•How do you plan to keep your master password?
By having it saved offline in a hardcopy and also documenting it some place safe cos I forgot to add in my introduction that documenting important information is my hobby too.

•Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes, I do. It is done by clicking on the transfer button, inserting the receiver's username, putting in my private active keys and then clicking on the send button.

•Do you know how to power up your STEEM? Yes, I do. It is done by clicking on the power up and immediately it's converted to steem power.
